Wade Hayes, who scored with smash hits such as "Old Enough To Know Better", "Don't Stop" nebo "On A Good Night" in the mid 90's, announced that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He underwent surgery in mid December and this week went through the third round of chemo. Despite the disease Wade keeps focused on music, writes new songs and plans to record a new album.

Not only is Wade Hayes a fantastic entertainer on his own, but he has never been afraid to try new things, too. In 2003 he and Mark MacClug, a long time fiddle player in Alan Jackson's touring band, tried to break through as a duo named McHayes. In recent years Wade played guitar in most Randy Owen's shows.

In 2009 Wade Hayes released a wonderful collection called Place To Turn Around.
