Clay Walker is about to release a new record this summer. The album will be called "Long Live Cowboy" and the singer promises it would be pure traditional country music. Yee Haw!

Chris Young revealed his guests on the upcoming record, which will feature duets with Vince Gill and 2013's The Voice winner Cassadee Pope. Chris also co-produces the new album, which should come out later this year.

Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson are teaming up once again and on June 2 they will release a new album called "Django And Jimmie". They already released a music video for the first single "It's All Going To Pot". Now that's bro-country!

Popular duo Montgomery Gentry is going to release a new album on June 9. The record is named "Folks Like Us" and the title song is a current single.

Willie Nelson finally wrote his own memoir. Look for a book named "It’s a Long Story: My Life".

Ricky Skaggs plans to release his autobiography on August 13. The memoir called "Kentucky Traveler" will span 50 years of his incredible career from a 6-year-old boy performing will Bill Monroe to an established bluegrass legend in his own right.

Alan Jackson returns to Australia, where he'll play 5 five shows in late September/early October. Sara Evans will serve as an opening act. Jackson played a couplle of shows in Australia in 2011, which were sold out in a few minutes.

Marty Stuart celebrated 20 years as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. A special concert to commemorate the anniversary was held at the Ryman Auditorium on December 8th. Marty's wife Connie Smith, Ricky Skaggs and Charley Pride were among those to help celebrate.

Joe Nichols signed a new recordning contract with Red Bow Records and started working on his next album. The project will be produced by the great Tony Brown, who stands behing carreers of giants such as George Strait, Reba McEntire or Vince Gill. Joe Nichols told CMT.com that he had already recorded some tracks and called it his best vocals in 10 years.

Toby Keith's new album titled "Hope On The Rocks" comes out November 13. The first single "I Like Girls That Drink Beer" is currently climbing up the charts.

The legendary coal miner's daughter, Loretta Lynn, celebrates her 50th anniversary as a Grand Ole Opry member. A special tribute concert is planned at the Opry on September 25 and will feature a number of guests including Crystal Gayle, Miranda Lambert, Lee Ann Womack and Trace Adkins. Loretta Lynn joined the Opry family on 9/25/1962.

Lee Ann Womack exited the MCA Records after 14 years of a successful run during which she scored hits such as "Never Again, Again", "A Little Past Little Rock", "I Hope You Dance" and "I May Hate Myself In The Morning". Lee Ann is currently working on a new album "The Way I'm Living", which will bring her first new music in 4 years.

Ricky Skaggs will release a new record "Music To My Ears" on September 25. The album will feature Eric Clapton's composition "Change The World" as well as a new song "Soldier's Son", which Skaggs co-wrote with the Bee Gees' Barry Gibb.

Brooks & Dunn keep helping each other out even after parting ways! When Kix Brooks suffered sudden health complications and was unable to perform in Jacksonville, FL on 03/23, Ronnie Dunn willingly interrupted his family vacation and substituted the show for Kix. Now that's a friendship!

Vince Gill announced he parted ways with the MCA Records after a 23-year relationship. His final album for MCA, "Guitar Slinger", was released last fall.

Carrie Underwood has finally delivered the long anticipated single "Good Girl" off her upcoming album, which is scheduled for May 1 release.

Ronnie Dunn offically became grandpa when Hucxton Wayne Dunn was born of Johnny Cash's birthday, February 26.

Kix Brooks will release the higly anticipated first solo single on March 19. The song titled "New To This Town" will also feature Joe Walsh of the Eagles. Brooks & Dunn parted ways in September 2010.

The largest shopping mall in Tennessee, world famous Opry Mills, which is located opposite the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, reopens March 24. The mall was completely destroyed during the extreme floods in May 2010 and the reconstruction was postponed by many month due to numerous disputes with insurance companies.

Jake Owen broke his collar bone while snowboarding in Colorado. He tweeted a message to his fans to make sure that he would play all his shows the following week even if he had to sit on a stool.

While Billy Dean was out on Christmas tour with Kenny Rogers, his barn burned to the ground and Billy lost all his memoribilia from his early carreer, his tractors and fishing boat. The cause of the fire is still unknown. Billy Dean turns 50 on March 31.

Billie Jo Spears passed away on December 14, 2011, aged 74. A popular country artist of the 70's was one of the brightest stars of the countrypolitan sound. She is best known for her smash hit "Blankets On The Ground".
