When you are in touch with fans, do you prefer the guestbook at the official website or Facebook? Do you mind when you get friend requests from fans on your private Facebook profiles?
Alena: "Well, when I get a friend request from somebody who I've already met or talked to, then I confirm the request. Sometimes I even add some new fans, when they seem to be sympathetic..."
Alice: "I confirm only those I have already met before."
Alena: "There's a lot of nice people who send you a message or a friend request, which is OK. But sometimes it happens that for various reasons you decide not to confirm somebody's request and then the person sends you tons of mesages asking explanation why the heck you didn't confirm them..."
Alice: "That's why I confirm only those who I have met in person."
Maggie: "I confirm a lot of requests from fans. I always check them out and then decide whose requests I'll confirm."
Do you read posts on the guestbook or the official Country Sisters Facebook profile on a regular basis?
Alena: "I do, when I get online, I usually check it all. I don't respond very often, I just read it."
Maggie: "When I get a message from a fan on Facebook, I always respond."
Claire: "At the official Country Sisters Facebook we try to answer all messages."
Sonia: "I have to say that for me Facebook is just a waste of time and I also don't like how much privacy you lose there. It's just not my cup of tea and I get online only when I have to for business reasons, which is like on Easter and Christmas..." (laughs) "But I know it's trendy nowadays. The rest of the band is there all the time, they discuss their problems and relationships online, communicate with our fans and I think that this connection with the world suits them very well. Therefore I leave it up to the younger generation and I let them live their own Facebook lives. I just doesn't enjoy it myself."
When you are on the road, are you always able to handle the language barrier well?
Claire: "What do you mean by well?" (laughs)
Alice: "Like baguette, beer..." (laughs)
Alena: I think that everybody in this line-up doesn't have a problem with communicating abroad. Even Pepa is able to communicate abroad using his arms and legs!" (laughs)
Alice: "Yes, surprisingly Pepa is able to communicate abroad, too!" (laughs)
Sonia: "Pepa is able to communicate everytime and everywhere!" (laughs)
Two weeks of the interviews marathon have past very fast and tomorrow there'll be the last part before Christmas. You have learned a lof of information and stories about the band and its individual members, but you may have also noticed there was one who hasn't said much yet. Therefore tomorrow you'll get to know the youngest member of the Country Sisters, fiddle player Maggie, a little better :-)
